Exclamation starting problems, please help, very unique situation

hello, my truck is trying to start with the key turned on.
at first my truck was having a hard time turning over. but would eventually turn over. the key switch is also a little tricky for some to start(been going on for over 2 years)
one morning, it just stopping turning over. I took the the starter off and had it tested, it passed, i went ahead and replace it. when i hook the battery back up to the truck.. the truck tries to turn over. so i have to unscrew the negative post to stop the truck(the key is NOT in ignition). WTF?

now i have replaced the ignition and got 2 new keys. still had the same problem. then i replace the ignition wiring harness.. still have the same problem.

I don't know what else to do. I'M STUCK OUT OF TOWN 5 HOURS FROM HOME. someone please help asap. thank you

I HAVE A 2000 CHEVY SILVERADO 1500 LT 2WD 5.3 LITER
PLEASE HELP

Welcome to the forum, can you give more details on the vehicle
year, model, engine, miles....etc
