Exclamation Stereo problems, please read!

Ok guys, I was in the processes of putting a new stereo in my truck this morning. But had to leave to work before I could finish getting everything finished. But I noticed something while I was pulling it back into the garage. Since I cut the factory wires for the radio plug in, the gas guage, tach, and speedo don't work. I have been sitting here worrying about and was wondering if I should put the factory one back in it? Does the radio really affect that much stuff Any other guys have a similar problem?

What year is the truck? Some wire clusters have multiple wire sources. You may have cut something you werent suppose to. I installed a Alpine head unit in my 2002 silverado. You should be able to buy a universal wire coupler. I dont know why you would have to cut any more wires than that for the stereo.
