Stuck in limp mode...
I have a 1997 Chevy Silverado K2500, 5.7 Vortec with a 4l80e.
We did the tranny swap as my last trannys reverse was gone, anyways the swap was done and I had changed the front and rear speed sensors and it is stuck in limp mode. Now the "donor" vehicle came out of a 97 suburban 4x4 5.7 vortec and after researching I found that because the truck is pre 98 the computer does not need to be reprogrammed because there is no security system, is this right? Am I missing something?
Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated
