I have one that might stump you. 2002 2500HD Silverado, 8.1 liter, Allison transmission, great truck. Problem is I can be driving down the road and suddenly the engine quits as if the fuel shutdown or the ignition cutout. As I coast along avoiding traffic the door lock actuators cycle and the engine springs back to life. It didn't crank, just starts running again. If I am sitting still sometimes, it will die and I can put the gear shift back in park, crank the engine but it won't fire. I can set the alarm, wait and unset it and the engine will start. Is this a problem with the Passlock? What can I do to stop this from happening or do I just have to take it to the dealer to fix?
