SO I've been in the market for a used truck now and really have not had that much luck. I started with the EcoBoost, however that is now out of the price range and very hard to find one under 25k. So the next best thing to me would be the 2500 6.0L. I do own a small landscaping business so i would be pulling a 3k trailer every day during summer. I came across this 2500 while looking through a dealers website. I was trying to do private sale however this seemed like a good deal.

Its a 2011 2500hd with 4x4
has 75k miles
I believe a small leveling kit and tires

They want 23,600 for it. Would it be a good deal at 20k?

 

If it runs and drives right then I don't see why not. Throw 18k at em and see what they say

 

The "Ecoboost" Ford F-150 will cost more up front, of course, but remember that the Chevy 2500 is a heavy-duty pickup and that 6.0L will be quite thirsty compared to the V6 EcoBoost engine in a half-ton truck.

I would run a KBB & NADA on it after getting all the specs of the vehicle. (Trim package, engine, features, etc.) Take it for a test drive and go from there. I would also run a Carfax on it and see if there have been any accidents / major problems with it.


Always start lower than higher when giving them a price.


I think someone once told me dealers tend to use the NADA price instead of the KBB. I could be wrong but I think this is what I have heard.
