Exclamation Transmission Problems...HELP

I have a 95 silverado 4x4, 4l60e transmission that is a rebuilt and Im having problems and cant seem to figure out what the issue is. From 1st and 2nd gear its a real hard shift and after running it for awhile and running highway speeds it starts to slip. Any advice would help alot.

Thanks

4l60/e are the most common unit that comes in did u put a shift kit in it and is the chech engine light on if it moves and goes into drive and rev under 4 sec you can rule out the filter what all was replaced during the rebuild

When you say after it warms up it seems to start slipping, do you mean you are giving it more gas it just doesn't seem to go faster.

I have a 94 chevy 1500 with a 4L60. The truck has 350,000 miles on original engine but I've had to change the transmission 3 times in the last 11 years.

After the last transmission & torque converter swap (1994 G10 or G20 van) the truck works fine but it started shifting really hard from 1st to 2nd and sometime from 2nd to 3rd and the shift rpms seemed really high. Then it seemed like the truck was sllipping at highway speeds (like full gas pedal to maintain 55 mph). Also the throttle body started sounding like it was gasping for intake air.

I did some research that told me the catalytic converter was likely clogged.

Solution: I removed the catlytic converter, put a pipe in its place and WOW, the truck runs smooth, shifts smooth (even smoother than my 06 chrysler 300c). The gasping for air sound went away, I can do 80 mph on the highway no problem (scary speed though for a 94 chevy).

Even the 1/10th of second hesitation from a stopped light went away (had that problem for 4 years, figured it was spark plug wires).

Anyway, just my input on something that no one would ever think about. Good luck. Keep us informed on the solution.
