Default Truck wont start I have an idea could use come advice

Hey folks,

I have a 2005 Silverado 5.3 short bed, The truck stalled yesterday and would not restart, no prior issues. I am thinking its a fuel issue, this is what I have done:

1) Replaced battery
2) Checked all fuses and relays
3) I can hear the fuel pump start when the key is turned
4) Put a fuel pressure gauge on the system and I have no pressure

I changed the pump out 2-3 years ago.

Any suggestions, fuel regulator maybe.

Thanks!!!!

how many miles are on it?
have you changed your fuel filter yet?
have you inspected your spark plugs?
what does it do when it stalls? does it feel like it is running out of gas?
If you stomp on the gas does it want to stall or does it hesitate?

Check the FPR by pulling the vacuum hose from it and smelling it.. if it's gassy smelling, the diaphragm may be torn..

It has 140k miles. The fuel filter is part of the fuel pump, that was changed a couple years ago. It stalled I have not been able to start it since.
Thanks

fuel air and an ignition source.
is the truck turning over?
is it just making a clicking sound?

air filter and spark plugs too
get 1 of these bad boys from harbor freight for a couple bucks
plug it into the spark plug and the plug wire into the other end
and if the wire is messed up or if the plug is bad the pulsating light
will let you know

Sounds like a good idea, question though why would I have no fuel pressure. Could the pump be bad but still run, because I can hear it start up when I turn the key.

You have no fuel pressure?
If the pump is priming when you turn the key forward it should work
Unless it has an intermittent problem.
I would say to change your fuel filter out 1st cuz it is cheap, but you say the fuel filter
Is part of the pump? I am not familiar with your year, but the fuel filter is a part that regularly needs to be changed. You should be able to remove it.

He might be thinking of the sock type filter on the suction line of the pump? There is another in line filter that I second on replacing before doing anything else. Take the outlet line off the filter first, if the pump is good there should be gasoline there, if not, and you have fuel on the inlet line to the filter, then it is the filter not the pump.
