Yea, and I'd suggest load one up with 1/2 ton or so, take it down the interstae at highway speeds, report on what the ride was like.

Ive got an 05 standard cab long box 2500 hd 4x4 with the same problem. Truck has 88,000 miles. Never had a plow on it. Wilcox Chevrolet has had it in twice and cant figure it out. Balanced newer tires, tried a different set of wheels and tires, new front hubs, rotors, pads, new rear wheel bearings. Driveshaft out looking at u-joints. Nothing improves it. Had it on the lift with the truck running up to 65 and more than one mechanic looked at it and all is in agreement that its there.

Talked to a buddy that had a similar problem. His fix was that the u-joints in the rear driveshaft were not parrallel. IE they cut the transmission end off the shaft and rotated it 3 degrees and re-welded it.

I now have the attention of a driveline specialist that is willing to take a stab at it by putting it on the lift, running it and attempting to trace it with a stethescope.

My rig is worse with the fiver attached.

I should have looked for this earlier. My truck is also vibrating and getting worse. Dealer has put new brakes on in and said that should do it. Also have put 2 new sets of tires on it with no change. I've been chasing tires because that is what I thought it was until they road force balanced my michelin ltx ms2 and all was ok. Has anyone solved this. According to the last couple posts it looks like some have had some luck. I just opened a case with GM, we will see where that leads.

I'm going to need to be admitted to a nut house if this doesn't get fixed.

Well got a call from GM cust. service, and guess what? This is a normal condition, what a joke. Called the service manager with the dealer he agreed to have someone take a ride with me, but I have not received a call back from the service rep to make an appt. Maybe I'll try another dealer or just call the bbb and the local news.

engine 138 what did the paper work say that you should have signed for. It usually states what was done for warranty billing?

This seemed to help some but problem still presist. I took back for 2nd time and mechanic indicated he could not detect problem. Was willing to rebalance tires and indicated that the large mirrors may be part of problem. He was willing to rebalance tires but power went off in area so I decided to take back at a different time.

Yesterday, I drove about 200 miles all of which were on the interstate. The problem was really noticable from time to time to the point my wife could feel it in the headrest on the passanger side. I also noticed that waterbottles in center console were vibrating excessively. I have the truck back in the shop today for this issue.

If anyone had had this issue and gotten it resolved would you please post what was done to your vehicle.

thanks
Falcon,

I have same trk but a 2012 and at 6000 miles same issues I contacted Mr Louis and got same answer I have had my trk in the dealership several times they first said it was drive line issues and replaced rear propeller shaft no change, 2nd' 3rd, 4th time said tire issue they force road balanced several times no change I changed tires out 3 times no change 5th, said no issues found B.S, 6th time asked for service manager to ride along he acknowledged vibration said he would not give up and to let him research and he would call me, 7th time he said that GM said to take off stock running boards and put 6bags of concrete in bed they did and no change also took tires and rims off a 2013 on lot still no change in excessive vibration service manager said be patient that he would continue to research and that he drove a 2013 and he stated it had more vibration that mine as if that make it OK I finally contacted the BBB and awaiting a resolution all I know is I spent 370000 for a new trk and got a defective trk also they have never really addressed the rough shifting when trans down shifts but I see there are others that seem to have the same issues with the excessive vibration and hard down shifting not sure what the outcome will be but GM needs to make it right has anyone have any guidance on how to start a class action against GM at this point I am interested due to the fact GM needs be held accountable for the quality of trk they are selling to people.
