Just got my own BlackBear Tune from him and i am very happy with the results and you truly do save a bunch of money compared to a handheld tune and at that point you will get your bang for your buck so i would really recommend them!. You can ask them to leave your transmission alone but honestly your "get up and Go" wont be very noticeable with that damn torque management on there.

Got my tune and got him to take 75 percent of my tq off and set my shift points to "Firm" now have 240 xxx Km on my truck and not a single problem and she is a totally different truck. so save your cash and get a real tune not the handheld tunes

Just my 2 cents

Ok...I've liked what I've read about the Blackbear but when I went to blackbearperfomance.com it clearly told me that its not recommended for 6 speed Allison trans.....????? I have a new body style 07 Silverado 2500HD/ 6.0 vortec gasser.

Its sitting on 35x12.50x20 with 6 inch lift. I don't expect to get many mpg's but I want all I can.....I run shell mid grade and get around 8.7 mpg on average.
Also shifting is the one thing I agree with other post on. It seems rather odd. So what is some suggestions on tuners/programmers / etc. ?? Thanks for any positive feed back.

I have a 05 2500hd 6.0 2wd. there's soo many different opinions on Programmers/tuners that I cant figure out the "best" one to buy. I rarely haul heavy loads, but every road is a drag strip to me haha. so far ive installed a Spectre CAI, and flowmaster muffler with two 4" downturns. any suggestions on a programmer or other bolt on upgrades... 88mm throttle body???

Default Best of both

I’m looking for towing performance and fuel economy with my 6000 Vortec engine. What custom tuning does everyone recommend?

If your truck has a 6.0 gas it’s not an Alison trans. And did you bother to change the gear ratio in your axles? Better performance and fuel economy are achieved when you lift any truck and put larger tires than stock simply by doing it right and not leaving the truck under geared and having to work all the time to go down the road.
