was wondering if any one has done this. i had a 04 dodge ram and it rode like a tank, but it did at stock height anyway. are the 07/08 silverado's retaining the ride quaility when you lowering them. i wana go with the mcchaughys 4/7 drop.

Hey I have an 07 Silverado 1500 Classic, I did the Belltech 3-4 kit. I don't know what cab confiuration you are running, but with the exteneded cab short box I have a lot of problems with driveways that are at a bit of a slant due to the wheel base. I was also going to do the 5-7 kit. Was turned away because most driveways in my area I wouldn't be able to get up. Also with the 5-7 you needed to cut the frame up and I didn't want to do that. I still love mine with the 3-4 kit.

You must not have seen this thread....

Based on that, I wouldn't deal with DJM unless it was given to me.

WOW....i was really considering purchasing DJM lowering shackles for my 07 silverado. I know now not to deal with them. I used a Belltech 4"/6" for my 01 ext cab silverado and it rode like a dream. Thats what im going with on my 07 and gonna stay true to them. Thanks Evansblue for posting that.

I have an 07 silverado ( new body ) and I just dropped it 4" x 7" with the westin chassis kit. I have also dropped my previous vehicles with the djm products (great Products) and have had no problems. As a matter a fact the djm kit road great, and the cust service was not bad either!! I bought both all these kits (im not going to lie) cause they was on sale. I have had no problem with any of them and would recommend both. Not only does it look great but saves the walled and with the right rear shocks, rides very well as well.. The only thing I had a problem with was the wst chassis kit did not come with the c-notchs but one call and they sent them with no questions asked.
