My Bad, I just checked the 87 K5 and there is a line connected there running to the purge cannister.

where is that purge cannister at?also do u think im being Robbed of HP without that line attached?,Gas mileage?..im trying to improve my gas mileage and having this thing run tip top...FULLY maintaince this truck this weekend..plugs,wires,cap,Rotor,new 02 sensor,Coolant Flush,new belt,water pump,(I suspect it leaking) anything else i can do?..im just trying to have this truck run awesome and get another 100,000 out of this already 205,000 mileage truck

The cannister is located in front of the driver's side wheel well opposite of where the battery sits, if you don't have one then cap the line. You will loose vacuum without it connected or capped and it could effect the way it runs and the gas mileage.

Glad to help, most of my experience is on the 87 - 95 throttle body set up.

It goes to the charcoal canister behind the headlight on the drivers side.
