Default Wheel Offset 1998 Silverado

Hi all - I have a 1998 Silverado Z71 and looking to do a wheel and tire upgrade. Right now my wheels are stock, and want to go to a 17x8 and run 285/70/17s.

Question is, what are my stock wheel offsets, and what offsets should I go with on the new rims to avoid rubbing, etc?

Thanks!

Call the parts departement at a dealership with your vin they should be able to tell you, or if you get new rims from a good shop they should be able to tell you too.

Jaymitchell01,
Be careful of how much offset you have and make sure your wheel and tire dealer knows what they're doing. I had a problem with too much off set and it created a bad vibration problem. If we used the standard offset the vibration would go away.
If you use a reputable dealer, ask them if it creates a vibration problem if they will replace the wheels until they get the offset right!!
Good Luck, Dondobe
