Where to find a clockspring?
Hey, I have a 2005 Silverado Crew Cab with the steering wheel controls. I have been looking a lot online and all I can find are the ones that specify "w/o accessory controls". I opened up my clock spring hoping I could just solder the cable back on but I found out that it utilizes a ribbon cable which is almost impossible to strip the insolation off of. I am a little bit sceptical about picking one up from a junk yard since I dont want to pick one up with the exact same problems. Any ideas?
Btw I like what I have seen of the sight a lot!

I wouldnt trust a junkyard clockspring and as far as I know they wont let you return it. If they pull it, maybe. If you pull it, doubt it. Besides you dont know why the car is in the junkyard in the 1st place. The clockspring may have already been used. What was wrong with the clockspring anyway? If your car is 7 years old it isnt normal for a clockspring to go bad. That usually happens after 10 years.
