Default Wierd sound when turning wheel

05 Silverado Z71

Not sure how to explain this sound, but the last couple weeks I get sound when turning wheel slower. Like when back into a spot. The best I can describe the sound is like something might be dry. It doesn't sound like a power steering or belt sound.

Any ideas.

I'm not sure exactly. seems like not far down from the wheel. I kinda feel it in the wheel.

I didn't check ps fluid yet cuz it didn't seem like that type of sound.

does it sound like it could be coming from between the firewall and wheel? also does it sound like a squeak when turning the wheel?

mine does the same thing, makes a pump whine buzzy vibration in the steering wheel, only when turning left., or almost like a dry tie rod / ball joint creek, but it can be felt in the steering wheel more than anything.
not sure what the cause is yet but its been doing it for a while and only seems to be at very slow speed when the pump has to work harder.
if i figure it out this weekend ill be sure to post back. fluid is a little dark looking, so im gonna try changging it and see what happens

PS fluid level is normal.

Very slow speeds is the only time it does it and not always. I swear sometimes I can feel it in the breaks but not sure.

I don't think so, but who knows. I may just need to have it looked at.
