2013 Sonic Won't start after pumping gas.
I have a 2013 Chevy Sonic that won't start only after I pump gas. I have to pump the gas pedal to get the car started. Then the car acts like it wants to stall out unless I rev the engine a bit. Any ideas what it could be? I'm thinking the purge solenoid.

that seems like a good place to start.
remove the evap line to the purge solenoid and blow through the solenoid. if any air passes....replace the purge solenoid valve assembly.

possible carbon build up on throttle body or air inlet from air filter housing to throttle body feel the big snorkel hose coming off the air cleaner to the throttle body for holes in the folds. if no holes may need throttle body cleaned. try just pushing lightly on gas pedal to slightly open throttle to see if it starts good luck

that makes sense if the problem occurred all the time and not just at fill ups. When the purge valve is stuck open; fumes from the tank vent into the tbody and create a flood like condition.

your way is a great idea.
my way is more work but the only way I can think of for people without a scan tool to open the purge solenoid.

I agree with purge solenoid...this threads a perfect example of how to get the same answer with different tests. I usually command it to 0% with the scanner idling and unplug the evap line and feel/test for vacuum. Unplugging the electrical connector would be basically the same I suppose

Talked to a dealer service center and told him about the car not wanting to run well after putting gas. He said it was in the emissions system. But not the Cadillac converter so.not under warranty. Can I get the part name that would cause that problem.
