01 Chevy Tahoe OEM Fog Lights Programming?

I just received some OEM fog lights for my 01 Tahoe and the instructions are stating something about programming in order for the vehicle to recognize them. Is this something that has to be done at the dealership? Thanks for your time.

The dealer needs to hook up Tech II and activate the foglamp function in the BCM.

Find a different dealer, any GM dealer can do it.
