Default Installing OEM Fog lights?

Complete newb here - just purchased a '11 Suburban as the family hauler. To save some money we went with an LS without fog lights, thinking that I'd add them myself. I did convince my wife that we can't upgrade to 4x4 later.

So to do that, would the kit listed on gmaccessories.com include everything needed (lights, updated dash switch, additional wiring, etc.)?

Or any other suggestions for the fog/driving lights? Many thanks...

you can do the factory ones but the bulbs are expensive $40 retail $18 gmparts
and the lenses are plastic.. you might do some shopping around, especially if you think you might be up grading your headlights to HID

I tried some Putco bulbs in my fog lights and didn't care for the bluish color and the damn thing burned out 2 days later...the OEM bulbs are 13.5 volts most after market bulbs are 12v...

Welcome to the forum.

The link appears to show the lites and the switch but no wiring. Possibly the wiring is in the existing harness.

Be careful if you do convert to HID as in2pro said, the lens is plastic and there have been reports of meltdown w/ HIDs.

I put factory fogs on mine. The kit comes with everything you need and instructions.

Sweet. That's what I was hoping to hear.

I think I'll stick with the factory lights for now and think about the HIDs once we get some money back in our pockets. Thanks to all for the info and help.

And one more newb question - is the dealer the best route for getting the parts or are there better sources for OEM parts?
