02 Tahoe Z71 front end noise
Helping someone else out here (this is a copy of his description):
2002 Chev. Tahoe Z71 with 109,000 on the odometer. It's making a humming / almost grinding noise from the front left. No braking problems, no pulling to one side or the other, sounds the same in and out of 4WD. The only change is from deceleration, not from the brakes being applied. It does become louder at higher speed. No detectable change when turning. One could mistake it for tire hum but it isn't that. I don't have mud tires on the truck. It starts pretty quickly...about 10-12 mph-ish. You can hear it around 25 mph and in 4HI, it makes a moaning sound as I drive. I don't drive it in 4WD at high speeds or beat on the truck
Some of the noise was the wheel bearing and so I did the Wheel / Hub Bearing assembly myself. Noise is still there. Any suggestions?
TIA
