Default 98 2 door Tahoe front end grinding noise in 4wd high

I have 98 2 door Tahoe with electronic push button 4wd selection. When I engage the 4wd high and drive it makes a grinding noise in the front end. The noise increases as the speed increases. It also feels like there is additional drag as the car slows with no braking.
Thanks

Schill,

On the dragging.
You understand that when you put it in 4WD/either, that the front wheels lock together (no limited slip). If you turn the steering wheel any or encounter irregularities in the road surface, you're going to get drag. That's normal.
