Default 03 Tahoe Air Conditioner Problems

I have changed checked the high pressure and low pressure and there are no leaks, I recharged system to specs. I replaced the orphus tube, rear expansion valve, compressor, high pressure switch on side of accumulator and accumulator. I am not getting any power to the compressor, I jump the compressor and it turns on and cold air blows out. I switched the relay in box with a matching relay and still nothing. I am stumped, next I guess I need to replace the control. The system is dual system with auto, it also has rear ac and heat. I just replaced both actuators for heat/cooling and position(floor, middle or top). I need to know how I test my control system or could it be another sensor I didn't replace.

did you test power to relay? switched and constant? I think likely it is dash switch that is bad. you wont know until you test the relay power

Default Took it to the Dealer

So after 2 weeks of messing with ac I broke down and took it the dealer to figure it out. Here is what they said, there was an actuator behind the dash that is not letting the AC turn on. When you push the AC button it just flashes. The system is holding pressure and is filled, the price to replace the actuator is $689, they are crazy. I can replace the actuator myself, but not sure which one to order. I need help figuring out if the dealer is full of BS or if the actuator not working can keep the compressor from turning on at all.

Hello kirk2651,,

We certainly understand how unsettling out of pocket expenses can be, and we apologize for the outcome. Although we can't guarantee a different resolution, we'd be happy to look into this further. Please feel free to send a private message with your contact information, VIN, mileage, and the name of the involved dealership.

Looking forward to your message,
