'05 burb 110K miles- when to chg shocks
My '05 burb has 110K miles aand we use to pull a trave travel. My NTB service center says it cost $900 to replace shocks because of some crazy shock absorber technology these use in these Suburban.
These are the original shocks should they be changed? Is there a cheaper way to handle the service?

They are probably old and worn enough to change... I'd pull the rear ones off at one point, and see how they respond if they still have some resistance and return pressure in them they are probably good for a bit longer... if they stay put or are really slow to return from compression they are probably ready for replacement... If they show obvious leaks then you for sure have your answer...
