07 Burb isn't coded to add remote start?
We just bought an 07 suburban that was made in Mexico FOR Mexico. Apparently there's no market for remote start there cause two dealers have told me my burb isn't "coded" to add RS.
Question: can anyone tell me if I could swap the computer for an American version in order to have one that is coded to add RS? It doesn't seem right that this day and age one couldn't be added. Suggestion?

Apparently one can't be added...that's what I was asking about the computer. I'm assuming either the computer and/or part of some kind isn't he correct version that will take a remote start. if it were that easy I would've already ordered one and added it but I don't want to spend the money until I know it can be done. Two dealers have told me it can't be added by researching the VIN number.
I thought it was odd too. We looked at three good options for 07 suburbans and the one my wife loved was the very one we couldn't start with a remote. We don't have a garage and that would've come in very handy on cold days. This burb also doesn't have radio controls on the wheel and the others we looked all did. Bummer! But you gotta make the wife happy... Anyway I have to think that there is a way of doing it but I don't know what to say when searching for it on the internet. Its too many words (key words) used and it comes up with too much to search through. Most responses are that I'm incorrect. My next step will probably be to bypass the dealers and check with car audio people. They usually are experts about wiring, etc. Suggestions?
