MP3 is the compression format it doesn't mean the music is free. Music from CDs that are legally bought can be converted to MP3 discs so that more can be held on one disc. I'm sure Chevy/GM being the great company they are will come up with a plan to fix the problems with the early versions of the radio (i.e. Tell the customer it is working correctly.). Or they may surprise me and stand behind their products.
