i agree - it is very hard to use the driver mirror at night b/c the auto anti glare feature is on there and makes it worse. the only way to disable is to hold the power button on rear mirror for 6 seconds EVERY time you start the car. very annoying. there must be another way?!

regarding these cracked dash issues. have a picture? where in the dash does it crack? thanks.

I had the vibrating mirror problem on both mirrors. they are both power mirrors with manual folding and no turn signal indicators on a 2007 tahoe. Folding in the passenger mirror 3 times fixed it perfectly but the drivers still vibrates so i will check that out further. Also if you want to disable the auto dimming feature on the drivers mirror but dont want to lose it on the rear view mirror just cut or remove pin 5 on the onstar mirror connector and it will disable it. I believe its a gray wire

anyone know how to disable the dimming on the rear view mirror? our tahoe has limo tint on all the back windows so it is pretty much impossible to see out the rear view mirror at night...the backup cam helps but we have no use for the dimming mirror

You might be able to put a small piece of electrical tape over the sensor so it wouldn't see the headlights or bright lights in the mirror and cause it to dim. You could also cut the wire going the pin 9 ( the reverse signal ) about 2 inches from the connector then jumper pin 9 with pin 13 should be pink ( the power supply )so the mirror always thinks its in reverse and disables the auto dimming permanently. You can use a bent paper clip and put it between the pin slot holes or or strip a little bit of insulation of the power wire so can connect the pin 9 wire to the pin 13 wire

IIRC one of the buttons on the bottom of the mirror turns it off. The owner's manual might say.
