The truck looks good. Where did you order the exhaust from and how much did you have to pay? Is there any problem with the spare tire being mounted under the back?

The Magnaflow exhaust follows the same route as the factory system, the muffler is smaller, and there is no resonator at the back before the tip, but no clearance issues with anything excpet the plastic bumper (this probably varies from truck to truck). I'm pretty handy with a car, but not an expert, I was able to take out the old exhaust and install the new one in about an hour in my garage (no lift, no jacks - just crawled around on my back). It took me another 1/2 hour to go back and fix the clearance issues.

I ordered from www.muscleexhaust.com they were an authorized dealer for magnaflow and sold a full kit (got the link from the magnaflow website). Some of the other places I looked at sold the magnaflow muffler, and had their own exhaust tubing and tip. I figuered that I'd just go with the full magnaflow kit. I ordered the full stainless steel kit, cost about $526 no tax (out of state) and no shipping. They make an "aluminized" kit that you can find for around $350. The stainless steel is supposed to last longer and looks a little more trick, but you gotta be under the truck to see it... could have gone either way.

So far I'm getting at least 1.5 mpg better milage with the exhaust, I need to burn through a few tanks before I post the final results.

Oh yeah, when I was talking to an exhaust shop, they told me that magnaflow made the muffler for Gibson, said it was part of their low end line... Can anyone confirm???

I ordered the volant cold air intake and the superchips flashpaq late last night. the flashpaq is on backorder, probably wont get till the end of the month, but the volant should be here by the weekend. another fun project for the weekend...

FYI - i've ordered a few things from performance parts so far, everything is on "backorder" kind of makes me mad that they don't tell you until after you have ordered. Some of the other sites tell you before you "check out" that something will be delayed. I've always liked them for ordering stuff for my other cars, but for some reason they don't stock well for the tahoe.

Our official date is supposed to be the 11th of this month.
We did get so real good power out of the trucks especially the 2007 6.0L
91 octane=37HP and 36ftlbs of torque to the wheels
87 octane=34hp and 30 ftlbs of torque at the wheels
Part#2815
This will cover 1996 trucks though 2007 in this tuner.
Stay Tuned!!!!
Ron

Thanks for the update, I'm glad to hear the power numbers, do you have any of the numbers for the '07 5.3 liter engine on the tahoe?

I also didn't mean to bash Performance Products, I've ordered several things for my old Porsche and never had a problem. I guess I have to be patient because the 07 accessories are still being developed.

I am looking into the DUB air cold intake system and wondering if anyone out there has tried one in their vehicle before - Tahoe or otherwise. Thanks.
