07 tahoe and gas prices
Just a quick post to say that ive had my 07 tahoe 4 months now, and have put 9,300 miles on it. Absolutely love everything about the truck! DIC says i'm getting 16.4 MPG. I drive to and from work 5 days a week 100 miles round trip. I park in NYC and pay 20 per day to park. It would be 12 dollars if it were not an "oversize" vehicle. My question is with gas expected to be $4 a gallon in the near future am I nuts and totally impractical like evry one says I am? I feel it is worth it to drive such a "sweet" vehicle. Anybody feel the same way?
Oh yeah, it's a great ride!
You might want to check a couple of tanks worth of mpg to get a DIC fudge factor.
My experience with them is that they are usually about .05-1.0 mpg optimistic.
But I doubt any of us got either for an econobox or stoplite racer.

I guess it depends how much money you make. I actually broke down 2 years ago and bought a little toyota just for the gas mileage, but ended up selling it because I own 2 really nice trucksand yet I was driving a POS gas sipper.
Whatever the price of gasoline will be paid no matter what gas-driven vehicle you're pumping it into. Tahoe's are a dream ride so be prepared to suck it up or leave it behind. Ihada Nissan gas sipper- glad those days are over!
