Thanks Joe. It's not hard at all really. A little time consuming though.

Get some 2000 grit wet/dry sand paper.
Can of VHT Nite-Shades
Can of Clear (I used Krylon Fusion)
Bottle of Alcohol
Some Polishing compound

1. Sand the Tail lights with the 2000 grit sand paper and scuff it up really good.
2. Wipe it down with the alcohol.
3. I used 5 light coats of Nite-Shades to get my color. (15 minutes in between coats) On the last coat wait at least one hour.
4. Wet sand the lights (you can use 1000 grit but i wanted to be extra safe around the curves and not sand off too much) and you'll feel when it starts getting really smooth and you'll see the dark layer coming off.
5. Wipe it down with alcohol.
6. I sprayed 6 coats of clear with 10 - 15 mins in between. Waited an hour after last coat.
7. Wet sanded with 2000 grit to make it smooth and get that top layer off.
8. Buffed with the polishing compound.

I should have taken pictures but I hope that helps.

wow. very time consuming. So, dry sanding with 2,000 scuffs up really good. But wet sanding with 2,000 gives a smooth feel.. I find it strange but thats me. Today I started buffing my burb with finish compound. Boy is it in need. Tomorrow I will have the best looking scuffed up burb haha.

Joe here is a video I just found on Youtube showing how to tint your tail lights. He did it pretty much the exact same way I did. It's a pretty good video.
