when i turn key to the on position i hear like rattling noise from top driver side of the engine. then turn key to off position and makes the same noise.
it is something that turns on and off before ignition. im stumped

Ideas are much appreciated

 

Has your washer fluid heater been disconnected?

i do remember that recall back when it came out i think they ended up giving everyone a 100 dollar check if i remember correctly
but ill check it and go from there,
i just put a new oil pump in her
its definitely something that gets primed or turned on when the key is on but not started.
maybe fuel pump going out?

 

Try listening w/ hood up while someone else turns the key. Might be able to localize it.

Doubt it's the fuel pump since it's in the tank.

 

Ok will do. Yeah and they also put the fuel filter in the pump. God forbid if we wanted to put in a new filter without spending 400

 

Throttle body throttle plate motor ?

 

it quit making the noise
but thats what im thinking is the throttle motor
its like a rattle snake with metal lol
