Default 07 Tahoe w/nav radio volume **** not working

I just picked up an 07 tahoe w/nav and the radio volume **** is not working. I may be doing something wrong, I'm not sure, but it won't turn the volume up and down. The wheel controlls work fine. Any suggestions???
Thanks
Shawn

Well crap... It sometimes works if you turn it fast, maybe a firmware issue? Any place to get it repaired?

Thanks
Shawn

Any dealer can send it away for repair.
In the us, dealers use www.autocraft.com as there radio repair specialist.
In canada they use www.mass.ca
in either case, you can try to contact the repair center directly to maybe get a cheaper price...if they'll even deal with you

Not sure with the names, kind of funny :-) <O</O
I was able to get into the diagnostics screen where they have a program that allows you to test each hard button to insure it’s working. This is where its gets funny... The test screen has a set of arrows that light up as you turn the **** in each direction to indicate that they are working. The problem is that when you turn the **** one direction its lights up the corresponding arrow, but if you keep turning in that same direction the opposite arrow will lights up as well. The other rotating **** does not do this and when I exit the diagnostics screen and turn the volume **** I can hear the volume increase by 1 value and decease by 1 value. I assume it’s a software issue, since the **** is making a connection. <O
Is it possible to reset the software, from the radio?<O</O
<O
Thanks<O

I just wanted to say thanks for your help and time... <O</O

I tried the fuse re&re for 30 min and nothing. When I turned the radio back on it still had the time and saved radio stations in its memory. I assume I'm not getting a true reset or the radio has non volatile memory storage. Maybe its time for the dealer to take a turn :-).
Thanks<O</O
