Default '15 Tahoe - Power in the Overhead Console

Anybody opened the overhead console in their 2015 Tahoe? I powered my radar detector from the overhead console in my ’03 Suburban and would like to do the same in my new Tahoe. My primary question is how to open the console without breaking anything. If anyone has gone that far, is there any (ignition or ignition & accessory) power available inside? I could settle with constant power and having to turn off the detector when I shut down, but I would rather not. Any guidance would be appreciated.

See if you can pop out the lamp lenses as that will give you a better view inside and likely access to retaining screws...

While it is not switched power, it's a lot easier to take off the 12 volts from the back of the mirror. This also allows you to mount the detector up hi for better range and not as conspicuous.

Here is a thread I did on a Dash cam in my 07, you should be able to find similar wiring for the mirror in the same location....

Default rear view

I've seen some ones that integrate the display into your rearview... which I think is pretty cool.
