Default 1989 Suburban - Random no Elec. power

Randomly no electrical power to cab, dash or key switch. Lights, Horn work, Has New battery.
When it does start it over runs starter sometimes and other time runs fine.
Driving me crazy Please help

Test the electrical part of the ignition switch.

Test the circuit from battery positive terminal to the switch; there may be fusible links or big fuses in that circuit.

If beyond your capabilities, take to an independent ASE mechanic.
