1996 Suburban Dome Light troubles

1996 Suburban Dome Light troubles
Howdy gents,
So weird problem with my 1996 2500LT Diesel, no dome lights unless I manually turn them on. When I do they are kinda dim and get dimmer as I turn more on. Open the door, they turn off and the light on the door and under the dash come on, wait till the relay turns those off and the dome lights come back (dim again) but the door light from the door opened is still on and dim, progressively turn each dome light off in the truck and the other lights get brighter even the one on the door, get to the last dome light and that will turn the door light off when its turned off. Some kind of relay problem?
