I have had my 94 burb for 2 mos. recently the service engine light comes on for a few minutes then goes off. This happens frequently. Any thoughts????

Also my brake pedal has to be pushed almost to the floor to stop, this too is a new problem.

1) Mine does that too from time to time. Historically, it ultimately comes on permanently, indicating you have a problem that is waxing and waning and will eventually become a fixed problem.

2) Your brakes should be inspected. They may just need to be bled, or they may need additional servicing.

 

Have you had the codes read? You can get it done free at any of the major parts stores. Even if the light is not lighted when you take it in, they may be able to read a pending code.
