So what happened was the new part didn't come with an o-ring in the box. The original o-ring was flat in a spot I guess to a place on the old switch so while it worked for 3 days it was slowly leaking until the pressure got low and the compressor shut off. Learn from my mistake- ALWAYS MAKE SURE THIS PART COMES WITH A NEW O-RING! We recharged the system and I checked the switch where it threads onto to the accumulator with a bubble solution and it was not leaking.....back in business.

Forgot that this was the Tahoe forum. My parts catalogs are Corvette.
UPDATE: The reason the A/C stopped working was the new pressure switch I installed didn't come with a new o-ring. I used the old one and the freon leaked out.....got another switch with a new o-ring installed it, charged the system and all has been good to date!
