Default 2003 Tahoe Mirror Compass/Temp display intermittent

On 2003 Z-71, mirror has temp/compass and OnStar buttons.
Temp and Compass come and go, mostly no display lit most of the time. sometimes it comes back. no engine codes, no other major issues.

Any feedback would be helpful that traces directly to others experiences.

Welcome to the forum...
If it comes and goes I would suspect a loose or poor electrical connection...
I would suspect its most likely near or at the rear-view mirror itself...
I have not removed the assembly myself so I can't say exactly where to start, but you may be able to access the cable harness and connector by removing the mirror from its mount on the windshield...

Default All connections are tight

All the connections on wiring are very tight. wonder if anyone has had a circuit type issue internal to the mirror on this. The passenger air bag light is always correct, power always comes on on the mirror, onstar always work on the mirror, it is only the little display that is intermittent.

Try unplugging and reconnecting the connector on the back of the mirror. If that doesn't help, I'd suspect the mirror internals.

Default Tried that

Thanks, I did do everything I could think of. Unplugging/replugging did not do anything.

It might be worth trying to open the mirror up and see if there are any loose connections or solder joints that you can touch up...
It looks like GM parts direct has it listed if you choose to go the replacement route...
