My 2004 Suburban with the dual climate controls won't let me pick between the vent, heat, defrost, etc. It's in the default mode of defrost. Had the module rebuilt which didn't make any difference but at least now all of the lights are fixed.

Is there some sort of calibration sequence I should have followed?

I have not had it scanned as it's $131 and some change.

Most auto parts stores will scan for free.

 

I wasn't sure if those diagnostic scanners would also register these kinds of codes. I'll try it tonight on my way home.

O'Reilly can read trouble codes as opposed to scanning. I think I'll still give it a try and see if it reads any codes.
