Default 2004 Tahoe problem(s)

About two months ago, the key cylinder was removed and other part(s) was put in and the cylinder was put back in.

Last Wednesday, I left the Tahoe outside of the garage until the rain quit. About three hours later, the engine would not start (shifter was moved up and down to check any problem)...the radio worked, the dash lights worked and the head lights went off when turning the key.

The next morning, the engine started after turning the key two times. I moved the Tahoe into the garage and when I shut off the engine, key out of the cylinder, opened the door and the beeper was activated ubtil the door was closed.

I have started the Tahoe several times today and had no starting problem, but the beeper continues to activate any time when the door is opened.

The diagnostic says: Secondary System Chime, Communication Fail Or No Control.

What is wrong and how should I fix it?

Thanks a bunch!!
