I have a 2005 Tahoe my gas & speed gage stop working . So I went to the junk lard and Purchase a used cluster Before install it I disconnect the battery an disconnect the Original one and replaced it with the used one after installing it nothing came on so I though the cluster was bad so I put the old one back in after installing it I Notice the truck would not start /crank nor no lights would come on . Does anyone have any ideas . ( Before this the truck had no problems)

The first thing to always check is for a blown fuse. Your original cluster probably just has 2 bad stepper motors. this was a problem from 03 to about 06. When i had an 03 Trailblazer I changed all 6 stepper motors to solve my problem. not hard to do if you can solder.

 

Thanks but the problem is the truck won't start / crank up now
