Ok guys here's what's going on. I have a 05 Tahoe that I was driving down the road and it died. Pulled to the side of the road and have no crank no start. The check engine light and the abs light comes on when I turn the key, but none of the gauges come on. Checked all the fuses and all have power and battery tested good. Weird thing is when I take the key out after trying to start the dash lights stay on and will not go out until I disconnect the battery.

 

I would suspect the ignition switch. Need to diagnose it with a meter and wiring schematic.

 

did you ever get this fixed? I have a 2005 that has the same exact symptoms. I do have power at the crank fuse when the ignition is turned to crank (12.5v).
