Default 2006 Suburban brake issues

My '06 Suburban is showing a tpms error on the display. Since this started my rear brakes get very hot as if they are not releasing after pressing the brake pedal. Will the tpms cause this to happen?

Welcome to the forum.

I suspect that either your parking brake is sticking or a piston in the caliper is. Since it's both rear brakes, I'm leaning towards the parking brake.

I have replaced the caliper, rotor and brakes. I have 4 wheel disk brakes and when I replaced the rotors they were easy to take off and put back on. Just in case I will see if there is an issue with the parking brake today.

Thanks for the input.
