Default 2006 Tahoe cargoe door not unlocking

The cargoe door on my 2006 tahoe will not unlock,, all other doors fine
No way to otherwise open this door
no manual release,
THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE
CHEVY NEEDS TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE ON THIS
NOTHING WILL OPEN THIS DOOR SHORT OF TEARING OUT THE TRIM PANELS FROM THE INSIDE
THERE IS NO EMERGENCY RELEASE!!!

Welcome to the forum.

I'm sorry I can't help you. However I'm not aware of any other models that have an emergency release for the rear hatch.

They are, when your ride is in warranty.

Besides that...
I'm sure GM is more likely to put up with a complaint like yours, than dealing with the responsibility of a Kid opening the door while driving, and the vacuum behind your ride suck him and some of the other cargo out onto the road.

Consider yourself lucky, some rides out there won't unlock ANY door unless the Battery is charged.

Problem w/ that scenario is that most vehichles are out of warranty when this problem occurs,,

There are too many systems in vehichles these days that depend on electricity w/o a manual back up..
Just spent weeks tracing a problem w/ the switch for the passenger window on our Pontiac Montana..

HA, yea, I know exactly how you feel. I'm very pro Chevy, but, they do some things I just can't understand at times.
