Default 2007 Suburban engine swap/ Need Help!!

A friend has a 2007 Suburban 5.3L E-85, he had that engine replaced with a non E-85 5.3L from a 2007 C1500 Silverado. Here are some of issues I'm trying to figure out. When I turn the Ignition to start the engine, you can let go of the key and it continues turning over until it starts. Next, the transmission shifts hard from 1st to 2nd, the rest of the shifts are normal. can anyone give me any help or direction, Thank You!

Would you possibly know how to locate the cam and crank position sensor to the computer?

Do you have a scan tool that will read all 4 code families and not just the P codes?
Without a really good scan tool it's impossible to diagnose today's computers on tires properly.
Crank sensors need to be relearned by a scan tool when replaced also.

alldatadiy.com has the full shop manuals available online. That will tell you what and where which sensors the truck was built with.
