You'll have to have a dealer check to see if yours has been updated.

I have what I think is the same problem. Only happens when I use the remote start. Happens very infrequently!! From what I can gather, it sounds like the A/C clutch is not engaging all the way and is chattering. Not sure what the fix is

Have you taken the vehicle to the dealership? If you take it to them try starting it with the remote start and see if the problem can be duplicated. When at the dealership they will be able to diagnose and correct the issue.

Breanne, I have not taken it to the dealership due to the problem being so intermitent. If the noise starts when I use the remote start, I cancel the start and then start it again and there is no noise. It is maybe one in fifty remote starts that does it. Maybe. Until it is more consistant I dont want to take it to the dealership to have them tell me "we cant duplicate the problem"

Might try taking a cell phone video each time you remote start 'til you catch it doing it.

yea or tape recording the sound and then playing it back at the service center.

I speculate a bad blower fan motor.

I have a 08 Suburban, when the vehicle starts and the air is on it makes a loud grinding noise that sometimes last up to a minute. I have taken it back to the dealership & the can never seem to find out what the problem is. Can anyone help?

Welcome to the forum.

Most likely it's the A/C clearing liquid refrigerant. Does it do it if the A/C is off when starting?

If you haven't already, read this thread.

How did everything go with your dealership, myrecovery? If you would like for us to follow up on anything with them, please send us the following information privately so we can get a Service Request set up: your name and contact information, the last 8 of your VIN and current mileage, and the name of your involved dealership.
