I have a 2007 Tahoe 5.3 flex and had the fuel pump replaced at local shop. After the new one installed the fuel level was wonky - when it reads 1/2 tank there is only about 6 gallons left in the tank. The shop replaced the fuel pump assembly but the fuel gauge is still the same, 3/4 on the gauge is really about 1/2 full, 1/2 on the gauge and its really below 1/4 full. Shop said it s GM replacement part no. 19168418 which seems to agree with my vin # 0 = LMG engine code. Any ideas what might be wrong, or how to fix a wonky gauge?
