Default 2007 Tahoe has lost it's courtesy lights when opening doors..

Did my wife turn something off or set something wrong? I can make them come on with the switches above or on the dash but getting them to come on from just opening one of the doors doesn't do it.

Thanks... Gary

There is a dome light over ride switch near the fog light switch

+1 - I would try this first. This is usually the button that gets pushed and turns them off. I have attached a picture merely for your reference so the button location is easily identified. If this does not work, then we can go from there. Good luck!!

I can turn it on and off with that swictch but I can leave it in or out pressed at the fullest illumination and I can't get any of the doors to trip the light on. As I said though the light works and can be turned on from that switch as well as the individual buttons on the ceiling.

Thanks.. Gary

Its not the round button, but the buttons to the top and bottom of it... one is the dome lights the other the fog lamps....

its also possible the door switch has gone bad... do other doors open make the lamps come on?

Thanks in2pro. You nailed it. I didn't even know those were buttons.

Appreciate... Gary

I'm not a big fan of button lay out, many of the buttons are too small for gloved fingers.

Default I had same issue. Found the button.

So I was going crazy thinking a fuse went out... Then I read about the button above the dimmer dial and waa-la... Back to normal

This one too has stumped me in the past. Lets make a button that doesn't really announce itself as a button! And sandwich it button some other button and *****. hehe
