Default 2007 Tahoe has lost its mind....

I really hope someone has some good info for me. I have an 07 Tahoe that is doing all sorts of crazy things. Stabilitrak and traction control warnings. Gauges are going crazy. Lights flashing and bells chiming. Door locks cycleing up and down like crazy. Low power/brakes dragging (maybe)? Transmission shifts really hard when it is doing all of this. Oh, and the back hatch wont open now.......... Any ideas as to what can be the problem?

thats alot of different things wich both your ECM and your BCM both control. sounds like they could be damaged. have you disconnected your battery with the car running by any chance. doing this or anything like that could send a surge of amprage through your vehicles electrical system damaging everything

No. have not done that. but have replaced the battery and checked to make sure battery cables are not rubbing on frame. Cable at 175 amp megafuse was a little loose. Tightened it up. Unplugged stabilitrack harness and checked it. But did not see any problems there.

Welcome to the forum.

Might try disconnecting the battery for ten minutes. Also scan for codes.

I disconnected the battery for an hour. reconnected and started it up. Same stuff. Checked for codes. Found something about failure to communicate with engine and transmission controls. I see there is a service bulletin about a terminal in the transmission wiring harness that backs out and will cause it to exhibit some of these problems. Which harness are they referring too??

If checking/ tightening all the battery/alternator connections don't resolve it, you might check the seating of the main fuse box under the hood, disconnect the battery before even messing with it...
if this doesn't resolve the issues I would suspect the BCM...

If there is a Service Bulletin, maybe you can work w/ your service manager to take care of it or at least help you out.

I gave it to the Chevy dealer today. It was acting up when I took it in. They drove it and it acted crazy with them. They called me at 5 this evening and said they dont have a clue as to what the problem could be. I will update when I get more info.
