On automatic transmission... My wife has been driving it since I had to go buy a Silverado for a 5th wheel I bought. Not sure if there's been any hints as I just mentioned "she" has been driving. The first thing I heard about it was it had a thump in it while driving and a message telling her the tranny had overheated.

My question here is a buddy of mine who works for a tranny shop quite a ways away told me he'd rebuild it for me if I could get it out. He also mentioned it might be a handful for a non-skilled tranny guy. What is the consensus on me pulling it? I've rebuilt a lot of engines in my time but tranny's have always been something I kept away from.

Any opinions?
