Default 2007 Tahoe Rear Air Module Lighting

Hi All,

I am new to this forum. I have been looking over some posts and could not find the answer to my issue. I recently purchases a 2007 Tahoe LT.

The rear air and entertainment console buttons do not illuminate. The screen where is shows the temperature and that the heated seats are on does. The temperature buttons and the fan speed and the heated seat buttons do not light up when it is dark.

I tried turning the light dimmer but it was already all the way up. I believe the part number might be 15881861 or 15886277. These may be interchangeable but not positive.

My question is, do the rear module buttons illuminate? I was going to buy this module but the guy at the local dealer told me that his tech said those do not light. My research concluded when I looked in a 2008 Suburban LT and the rear buttons illuminated.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Brian

I appreciate it. I am just confused cause the service writer was told by a tech they didn't. Does not seem right that they wouldn't.

Must be a bad unit in mine then. Do you know how to change out the unit? Any pointers on where to start disassembling?

Thanks for checking on this for me!

I would try pulling it out and check the connections...
IF you can open the unit I'd check for replaceable lamps, but Id be my guess that the whole unit needs to be replaced...
You can check GM parts direct for the part...
