Can any one help me with the best way to address this burn/shorted pin in the harness? I have tried googling the name of the harness to order just the connector to try and replace them, but I haven't had much luck. I replaced the blower motor thinking it was the issue and it still didn't work. I then thought it was the resistor and started to buy it but decided to swapped the front and rear resistors to test them and the front blower worked just fine with both. I later discovered the harness was the problem as it had a burned pin. I pulled it apart and cleaned it a bit and reconnected and everything fired up as they should. I'm concerned that since the pin melted the first time, I need to replace it to avoid future issues and the potential dangers.
Do I have to replace the entire harness or is there another option to repair it. I have looked at de & repining a new connector but where can I find the connectors themselves. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
I have seen it referred to as Heater Evaporator wiring assembly but none of the part houses online seem to have anything like it or even offer a similar connector. I was hoping to find the connectors instead of a complete harness and then have to struggle to install the entire wiring harness. I will check with the junk yard and see if anything is available to pull a part from. Thank you for the quick reply and suggestion.
