Default 2009 Tahoe- Fuel pressure issues!!!

So was driving down I-35 yesterday and my 09' Tahoe just completely died on m in the middle of traffic. SO i tried to restart it and it would just crank and crank. So I thought it was a fuel pump issue. So I replaced that and still it won't start and just cranks. Now I have read a couple of places that it could be the Fuel pressure control module? I can't find that part anywhere online to save my life. Then a mechanic at a Chevy dealership said i will have to get my Tahoe reprogrammed if changed the fuel pump? I don't know what else to do.

waterfowl1982 Welcome to the forum..

Were you not getting any fuel pressure with the original pump?
How about the new pump?
Did you check the fuel pump fuses?
The ignition fuse?

If you are getting fuel I would check for spark next as it could be something like a crank or cam shaft position senor....
Cover the basics before replacing parts...

There isn't a fuel pump relay in the box or a fuse that I could find. Where the fuel pump relay should be at there is just an empty space. So that tells me the vehicle never had one. I will have the codes ran in the morning and go from there.

So I get a call from the dealership, they tell me it's a short in the fuel pressure control module and it costs $765 for the module.
